About the Brand, J. Christine
J. Christine illustrates a style of artsy-chic. We love combining fun prints with leather, giving our handbags a fun, but sophisticated look! With all handbags and accessories designed and assembled in house, J. Christine strives for that artsy trait with touches of chic style. All designs lean towards sustainable materials, such as using vegetable tanned leather and up-cycled and recycled leather. J. Christine strives to use eco-friendly tactics in all steps, from designing to packaging and shipping. All handbags and accessories are limited to no more than two fashion seasons, allowing them to be truly one of a kind items. J. Christine is recognized as a woman and black/minority owned business and follows the slow fashion model.
About the Designer/Owner, Julissa
Hey y’all! Hey! My name is Julissa and I am the designer of every design you see, on this site, and the owner of J. Christine. I am a legit 90’s child (1990), am the oldest of 5 and have one daughter! My high school classmates would tell you I have speed 🏃🏻♀️on me and knew how to kick a ⚽️ around! I also play the 🎻. I learned to sew 🧵, many years ago, in the 7th grade, by taking a sewing class. During that semester I made a total of three quilts and one pair of pajama pants, which led me to win an award at the end of that school year! I graduated from Arizona State University (ASU) with a BA in Anthropology, focusing on paleoanthropology. I have a many years in the banking industry, all in fraud and currently work a full time position focusing on financial crimes. However, creating these bags for all of you is my true passion!

J. Christine is a Christian owned and operated brand, therefor our purpose and mission is driven by God, His word, and His will. The mission behind J. Christine is to simply spread the love, joy, truth, and word of God, through this gift of leather craft and handbag making. Our purpose is not to preach your ears off, but to rather show and tell that everything we have accomplished and have been given has all been possible with Him! Having a true passion of leather craft and bag making is just a bonus!
