Stepping Into A New Season

Happy Monday handbag lovers! It's another edition of #onmondayswebsgblog!

It has been six years since I launched J. Christine! Can y'all believe that?! What a ride it has been! I started off with learning to make handbags with fabrics, moved to vinyl (vegan leather), and finally transitioned to making and selling handbags combining beautiful fabrics and genuine leather! Now, it's time to move and step into a new season.

Oh! Don't worry everyone. I am not saying goodbye. J. Christine is switching gears ⚙️! So, what does all of that really mean? I am so glad you asked.😉

Since the beginning, J. Christine has operated as a made to order business and custom designing handbags for many amazing customers, such as all of you! We have also participated in many craft fairs, including The Ultimate Women’s Expo, in April 2022! With all of that came a lot of hard work and late nights. All of which has been 100% worth it. However, being a single business owner, it has led to burnout and really no desire to create. So with all of that being said lets discuss the next phase of J. Christine.

For part one of this new phase, I will continue to design and make handbags for all of my handbag lovers, but it will be on a custom order basis only. I will no longer release handbags to purchase directly from my website and will no longer release seasonal collections, with the exception of J. Christine’s statement handbag, the Cow-print Oversized Fringe Clutch. To this day, the oversized clutch remains J. Christine’s most loved handbag. It’s also just too much fun to take away! 🥳 I will be continuing to design and make handbags, that I will showcase through my social media platforms, through #onmondayswebagblog, and through look books on J-christine.com. These handbags can be ordered by placing a custom order! 

For part two, J. Christine will be launching “Handbags with J. Christine.” Here, I will share my knowledge of handbag making and leather crafting, by offering a one time purchase of video recorded tutorials, along with some free to all tutorials! I may even be offering one on one, online instruction. But, still thinking on that one.😉

The transition for this will start this Friday, March 17! The website will be updated to reflect a custom order only site, blog, and look book. You will also have access to order the fringe clutch and and any ready to ship handbags, that are left in stock. 

Part two, Handbags with J. Christine, will launch in May 2023! Official date will be released soon! Keep an eye out on your emails and on our social media pages!
